In 2015 the Perth Hills and Wheatbelt Band consisting of 38 students will tour to Gallipoli and then onto Europe on a 100th Anniversary War Memorial Tour for 4 weeks performing in 20 concerts during that time in memory of the War. This is an exciting event for the Band and if anyone is able to support financially in some small way this Tour we would love to hear from you.
The Perth Hills and Wheatbelt Band is a talented group of musicians consisting of students from Kalamunda, Lesmurdie, Northam and York areas who share a love of music. The Band is directed under the leadership of Mr Peter Hind who is a local music teacher at Kalamunda Senior High School and Lesmurdie Senior High School instilling a love of music in many students in the hills area. The Band has performed at many concerts over the years and is also willing to perform for a negotiated fee at any small or large events.

Perth Hills Adventurer Club is open to children between the ages of 4-9 (Kindy to Grade 4).
Children will learn about My God, My Self, My Family and My World in age-appropriate ways such as art, craft and nature activities.
The Adventurer Club provides fun and creative ways for children to:
1. experience the joy and satisfaction of doing things well;
2. learn about and express their love for Jesus in a natural way;
3. learn good sportsmanship and strengthen their ability to get along with others;
4. discover their talents and abilities and to know how to use them to benefit self and serve others; and
5. improve their understanding of what makes families strong.

The Community Midwifery Program
The CMP is a unique service available to Perth women experiencing a low risk pregnancy. The CMP provides safe, evidence-based, continuity of care from a known midwife throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and up to two weeks postnatally. We pride ourselves in protecting, promoting and supporting normal birth with a high percentage of our clients choosing to give birth in water.The CMP can support you to have your baby at home, at the Family Birth Centre or Kalamunda Birth Unit, or in a public hospital. Please note that due to staffing shortages CMP midwives are not currently able to attend women in labour for hospital births. However we can provide personalised antenatal and postnatal care for women choosing to birth in hospital.
The CMP is a publicly funded service, governed by WA Health and delivered in partnership with The Bump WA. The CMP follows evidence based policies and guidelines to ensure safe outcomes.
The Community Midwifery Program has 2 birthing rooms attached to Kalamunda hospital for exclusive use by CMP clients. These birthing rooms are Midwifery led and there is no Obstetric or Paediatric cover whilst birthing at Kalamunda – for this you would need to transfer to Swan District Hospital. The CMP Midwives run weekly antenatal and postnatal clinics in the Kalamunda space and also hold education sessions, mums and bubs and informative talks in the group room on many issues related to pregnancy birth and beyond.

]]>We offer antenatal consultations which are particularly suited to women who may have experienced difficulty with breastfeeding a previous baby but wish to breastfeed a soon-to-arrive baby. We also offer a postnatal service (for a baby of any age) which involves a consultation in the comfort of your own home (usually around 2 hours in length), a detailed feeding plan written in collaboration with you, and 6 weeks of complementary ongoing phone and email support.
