Fleming Reserve

On Newburn Road (between the intersections of Sorensen Road and Smith Crescent) lies Fleming Reserve. A community success story, the Reserve had been disused after many of the trees had been cut down to stop the spread of European Borer. Eager to claim the space back, a redevelopment project was initiated by local resident Michelle White with the support of local residents. The Fleming Reserve Redevelopment Project was an initiative driven by the High Wycombe Community Association in partnership with the Shire of Kalamunda. The community vision for Fleming Reserve was to create a multigenerational community play space that encourages physical activity and social interaction. The Reserve includes upgraded facilities such as – skate park / BMX Track and multi use youth area, children’s playground catering for children from 2-12 years of age, Community BBQ area, new toilet / change room, kiosk building, 1km internal pathway system, landscaping and public art. The project was a great success and today the reserve is bustling with youthful and family activities and community events.

Pioneer Park Reserve

Pioneer Park Reserve is utilised by sporting clubs and schools for various activities. The grounds are managed by the Shire of Kalamunda and are available for hire. The area between Hicks Street and the disused Dawson tip is bushland. There are no amenities in this part of the park just a few 4wd dirt tracks.

Emms Reserve

Emms Reserve is mainly a grassed area with trees for shade. The playground consists of a slide, swings and a sandpit. Emms Reserve is accessible by bus and is also close to both ‘The Village’ shopping centre and Emdelu’s Patisserie. Parking is available.

There is adequate parking and the Reserve is accessible by bus. There are shops close by. Located adjacent to Scott Reserve is the High Wycombe Community & Recreation Centre.
