It was originally build in 1899 and was known as \u201cThe Brown House\u201d, set in a beautiful garden from which the owner, Mr. Burchardt, sold flowers. The Brown House was, in its time, a residence, boarding house and hospital. When it became a hospital, it was known as \u201cNurse Kelly\u2019s\u201d, since she owned and ran it. It was demolished in 1947.
