JETTO’S PATCH has been designed as a suburban food garden in Perth Western Australia by owners Michelle and Dario Franzinelli. The garden’s Facebook page records in information and pictures on the many food crops able to be grown and harvested in the Perth climate on a small suburban lot of less than half an acre and on a natural sustainable basis according to the rules of nature. The aim of the garden is to prove how much and how rare or exotic plants can be grown in a small space. The garden is a suburban lot of 1482sq metres (less than half an acre), and is designed to encourage everyone to grow their own food no matter what space available to them.
The garden is open to all those interested in growing food and following sustainable and permaculture principles. Many groups studying sustainability and permaculture visit JETTO’s patch as an example of best practice. It is both an inspiring and learning experience.
